The Lackawanna County Giveback initiative was born out of love for our little corner of Pennsylvania. NEPA is a wonderful place to live, work and play. We want to bring everyone together to celebrate our region for a fun filled day on the mountain enjoying our local AAA affiliate of the New York Yankees, the Scranton / Wilkes-Barre RailRiders located at PNC Field on Montage Mountain in Moosic!
It’s no secret that the pandemic has caused hardship for many people and businesses. In 2021 the Lackawanna County Commissioners established the Lackawanna Giveback on the Mountain initiative with American Rescue Plan Act funds, to assist the local industries in recovering from the repercussions left by the pandemic, and to promote tourism and the safe re-opening of the County.
