County of Lackawanna recently issued the following announcement.
The lakes at Aylesworth & Merli-Sarnoski Parks are closed due to elevated bacteria counts in the water caused by the recent stretch of weather that we have experienced.
The lake at Covington Park is open.
The public will be notified when the reading levels return to normal.
As always, please practice safety when you are in the water. Swimming at our lakes is at your own risk.
All County parks are open for the public to use their various amenities.
