Former Lakeland High School standout Tyler Uram helped his college team, the Wilkes Colonels, edge the Susquehanna River Hawks 23-22 in an NCAA Division III baseball matchup held Sunday, March 15, at noon.
Harold Bollinger Field was the site of the closely contested game, marking the third meeting between the teams this season. Their prior contest, which took place Saturday, March 14, resulted in a 5-3 Colonels victory.
Uram allowed six earned runs in two innings on the mound, tallying one walk and one strikeout.
The Colonels are set to face the Lycoming Warriors at Bruggeworth Field on Tuesday, March 17, with the game beginning at 3:30 p.m.
