Of the 215,529 people living in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania in 2021, 51.1% (110,202) were women and 48.9% (105,327) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by Scranton Reporter.

Data showed the average age for women in Lackawanna County in 2021 was 44 years, higher than the national average of 40 for women.

According to census data, women aged 18 and over outnumbered men in the same age group by 938. Meanwhile, in the 65 and over group, there were 18,518 men and 24,027 women.
