The University of Scranton women's soccer team earned the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Team Academic Award for the 2021-22 school year as announced by the organization on Thursday.
The Team Academic Award recognizes programs with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0 for the entire academic year. As a whole, 746 teams across all three divisions were honored by the organization.
Led by head coach Colleen Pivirotto, the women's soccer team has now earned the team academic award in an impressive 24 straight years with a team GPA of 3.62 in 2021-22.
The United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award was established in 1996 under the organizations previous name of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
