Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams Garner CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Honors

The University of Scranton men's and women's swimming and diving teams have garnered College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) NCAA Division III Scholar All-America team honors for the Spring 2022 semester as announced by the organization this week.

A total of 731 teams from 441 institutions earned CSCAA Scholar All-America accolades as the men's team posted a cumulative 3.12 GPA, while the women's team held a cumulative 3.37 GPA.

CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart added "Head Coach [Chris] Brown understands the values of training the complete student-athlete and that is evident by the team's success in the classroom."

In the pool, both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams registered top-five finishes at the Landmark Conference Championships. On the women's side, graduate student Lauren Byrne (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) was named Swimmer of the Year for the third time in her career and junior Jeanna Gailius (Milton, Mass./Ursuline Academy) notched Diver of the Year honors for a third consecutive year.
