NP SciOly Team has Best Season

Northside Urban Pathways CS issued the following announcement on May 14.

On Saturday April 30, North Pocono Science Olympiad Teams Competed at the state competition at Penn State Altoona. This tournament put North Pocono against the best teams in Pennsylvania. Both the Junior High Team and the Varsity Team had the best showing in the history of the program. Both teams individually captured 7th place trophies for the state. Below are the students that earned medals in their events.

Varsity Team - 7th Place overall in Pennsylvania

Anatomy: 6th place - Bailey LaBadie and Minny Corea

Bridges: 8th place - Shivani Patel and Raina Nemitz

Cell Biology: 8th place - Grace Hauenstein and Minny Corea

Codebusters: 8th place - Jacob Bianchi, Damielle Zambetti, and Shivani Patel

Disease Detectives: 10th place - Bailey LaBadie and Grace Haunenstein

Experimental Design: 1st place - Jacob Bianchi, Alec Martin, and Noah Beckish - Student Mentor Gauge Llyod

Forensics: 5th place - Danielle Zambetti and Hope Covage

Gravity Vehicle: 6th place - Pete Barbuti, Doug Smith, and Dan Pierzchala

It's About Time: 4th place - Minny Corea and Noah Beckish

Ping Pong Parachute: 5th place - Pete Barbuti, Doug Smith, and Ethan Garibaldi

Trajectory: 9th place - Pete Barbuti and Ethan Garibaldi

Wifi Lab: 1st place - Jacob Bianchi and Raina Nemitz

Trials Event Solar Power: 4th place - Ethan Garibaldi and Jason Ephault

Trial Event Ichthyology: 3rd place - Ben Cikota and Jason Ephault
