North Pocono High School issued the following announcement on Feb. 17.
John Sutkowski joined the North Pocono family as a teacher in 1972 and faithfully enriched the lives of countless students through his commitment, hard work and dedication to the teaching profession and the North Pocono family until his retirement in 2006. During his tenure, he began a long-time association with the baseball program as a coach and also lent his coaching expertise to the softball program as well. And even after his coaching days ended, he continues to serve the students here at North Pocono by serving as a scorekeeper for the boys and girls basketball teams and the softball team. He has dedicated his time and service to promote North Pocono for 50 years! (Words from Superintendent Dan Powell). Thank you John for all you have done for the North Pocono students, athletes and community!
