Lackawanna County issued the following announcement on Oct. 26.
Penn State Extension of Master Gardeners of Lackawanna County are sponsoring a notecard fundraiser to benefit the many educational and community projects.
The Master Gardener Program provides many services to the community, including a garden hotline, free insect and plant disease identification, poison prevention programing to first graders, and using the produce from the demonstration gardens to assist those in need.
This fund raiser supports the outreach mission of Penn State Extension by utilizing unbiased research-based information to educate the public and the communities on best practices in sustainable horticulture and environmental stewardship.
A box of 10 notecards, with photos taken by our local Master Gardeners, features five Pennsylvania native butterfly species. Each card also contains facts about each butterfly with plenty of room for a personal message.
For further information or to receive an order form, contact Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Lackawanna County at lackawannamg@psu.edu or call 570-963-6842, Ext: 1387.
