City of Carbondale recently issued the following announcement.
JAZZ CAMP
The PA Jazz Institute Jazz Camp is a one-week intensive course from July 26 - July 30 (10am - 4pm) that will pass on the great tradition of jazz music, history, theory, and improvisation to our area’s next generation.
For many years, the PA jazz institute has been in cooperation with the Scranton Jazz Festival. Their students study and rehearse with world-class jazz educators and performers in preparation for featured performances at the annual Scranton Jazz Festival.
Students will learn: Jazz History, Music Theory, Jazz Improv, Making Music Online, Social Media Networking for Musicians, Music Industry Software, and more. Students perform LIVE on the main stage the weekend of the Scranton Jazz Festival as their final performance. Call for more information.
