Of the 2,161 people living in Chinchilla in 2019, 58.7 percent (1,269) were women and 41.3 percent (892) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Scranton Reporter.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 554-to-495. In the 65 and over age range, there were 340 females and 229 males.
