76 percent of applicants to Marywood University were admitted for fall 2018

At Marywood University, 87 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 68 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Scranton enrolled 2,853 students in fall 2018, including 1,934 in undergraduate and 919 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

76 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 24 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (73 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (8 percent).

The school admitted 76 percent of the 2,102 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 24 percent enrolled.
