51 percent of applicants to Clarks Summit University were admitted for fall 2018

At Clarks Summit University, 79 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 50 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in South Abington Township enrolled 768 students in fall 2018, including 531 in undergraduate and 237 in graduate programs, data shows. 13 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

45 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 44 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (84 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (6 percent).

The school admitted 51 percent of the 211 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 59 percent enrolled.
