Congressman Rob Bresnahan Jr. marked several milestones and issues of public interest in a series of tweets posted on July 29 and July 30, 2025. The posts highlighted NASA’s anniversary, the importance of local farmers in addressing hunger, and the role of small businesses in Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA).
On July 29, Bresnahan acknowledged NASA’s contributions with a congratulatory message: “Happy Birthday, NASA! Today we celebrate the incredible legacy of space exploration, innovation, and discovery. Thank you for inspiring generations to look up and dream big. https://t.co/RMlaSwCH0i”.
The following day, he addressed food insecurity by emphasizing the often-overlooked role of local agricultural producers: “Far too often the discussion around alleviating hunger leaves out those who grow, raise, and produce food – our local farmers. Reducing the barriers between our communities and the farmers who produce our food is a commonsense approach to ensure everyone in Northeastern https://t.co/JKZ9p6pIuR” (July 30).
Later on July 30, Bresnahan celebrated more than seven decades of support for small businesses from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), stating: “Today we celebrate 72 years of the @SBAgov supporting the backbone of NEPA’s economy, our small businesses. Here’s to decades of growth, grit, and entrepreneurship right here at home! https://t.co/oN9SB4vZ7Q”.
NASA was established in 1958 as America’s civilian space agency and has played a significant role in scientific research and technological development related to space exploration. The SBA was created in 1953 to aid American small businesses through loans, contracts, counseling sessions, and other forms of assistance.
Bresnahan represents constituents in Northeastern Pennsylvania—a region with a strong agricultural presence—where both farming initiatives and small business growth remain central topics among policymakers.
