Congressman Rob Bresnahan Jr., who represents Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District, has recently shared updates on his legislative efforts and community engagement through a series of posts on his official Twitter account.
On August 18, 2025, Bresnahan highlighted his collaboration with another lawmaker to promote local agriculture initiatives. He stated, “Proud to join @CongressmanGT last week to talk about my Local Farmers Feeding our Communities Act which will make it easier for local producers to help provide fresh, healthy food to those in need.” The proposed legislation aims to support local farmers by streamlining the process for them to supply food directly to community members facing food insecurity.
The following day, August 19, 2025, Bresnahan reported on outreach activities within his district. He wrote, “Team Bresnahan explored PA-08 today! Members of our district and DC teams spread out to learn more about who and what we fight for. Some visited historic Grey Towers in Milford and soaked in the beauty of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area while others visited”. These visits reflect ongoing efforts by congressional staff to engage with constituents and understand regional priorities.
On August 20, 2025, Bresnahan shared details from a recent visit within Wayne County: “It was a pleasure to tour Camp Wayne in Wayne County last week, known as the summer camp capital of the world! Incredible to see the energy, tradition, and lifelong memories being made right here in our own backyard.”
Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District encompasses parts of northeastern Pennsylvania including Wayne County and Pike County. The region is known for its agricultural activity as well as natural attractions such as the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and historic sites like Grey Towers. Congressman Rob Bresnahan Jr.’s recent social media posts underscore both legislative initiatives related to local food systems and ongoing constituent engagement throughout PA-08.
