Congressman Rob Bresnahan Jr. has recently used his social media platform to address a range of issues, from religious observances to the ongoing government shutdown and developments in international affairs.
On October 2, 2025, Bresnahan extended wishes to those observing Yom Kippur, stating, “I hope for a meaningful fast today for all who observe Yom Kippur. May this day bring a peaceful year ahead.”
Later that same day, he addressed constituents regarding the government shutdown. In a tweet dated October 2, 2025, he announced plans to provide information and resources: “With the ongoing government shutdown, I’ll be hosting a call this evening to share important information and resources for Pennsylvania’s Eighth District. Tune in to our Facebook or call 855-859-7303 at 6:30 to join the conversation!” The federal government occasionally experiences shutdowns when Congress fails to pass appropriations bills or continuing resolutions needed to fund operations and agencies.
On October 3, 2025, Bresnahan commented on news related to hostages held by Hamas. He wrote, “Tonight’s news that the remaining 48 Hamas-held hostages will be free is to be celebrated. I am grateful to @realDonaldTrump for his leadership in holding Hamas accountable for their vile actions on October 7, and for never giving up on the innocent souls who remained in” The mention refers to hostages taken during the conflict between Israel and Hamas that escalated following attacks on October 7.
Rob Bresnahan Jr. serves as U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania’s Eighth Congressional District.
