Congressman Rob Bresnahan Jr. has recently used his social media platform to address issues ranging from national remembrance to local healthcare access in Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA).
On December 8, 2025, Bresnahan posted about the significance of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, stating, “On Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, we pause to reflect on the lives lost and the extraordinary resilience that followed. May we always remember the cost of freedom and the strength of the American spirit.”
Later that day, Bresnahan highlighted a healthcare-focused event in Scranton. In a post dated December 8, 2025, he wrote, “Last week, we welcomed @DrOzCMS to Scranton for a roundtable with our local healthcare community focused on strengthening rural healthcare and expanding access across NEPA. Grateful to work alongside our local providers on real, lasting solutions for families across the region.” The roundtable discussion reflects ongoing concerns about healthcare access in rural areas.
Addressing healthcare affordability directly, Bresnahan posted on December 9, 2025: “Access to healthcare starts with being able to afford it. I refuse to sit by as premiums spike for NEPA families. It’s far past time for Congress to send President Trump a bipartisan plan that reforms and strengthens these credits to lower healthcare costs.” This statement comes amid ongoing debates in Congress regarding measures to address rising health insurance premiums and expand coverage options.
Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is observed annually on December 7th in memory of those who lost their lives during the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. Rural communities like those in NEPA have faced persistent challenges related to affordable and accessible healthcare services—a topic that continues to draw attention at both local and federal levels.
