North Pocono High School issued the following announcement on June 3.

Alixandra Camacho and Ryan Shoener graduated from Project SEARCH on Thursday, June 2nd.

Project SEARCH is a nation-wide program designed to prepare young people with disabilities for success in competitive integrated employment. Each student participated in three job rotations to assist in determining their future career goals. All three rotations were conducted through a collaboration between Wayne Memorial Hospital, Western Wayne School District, OVR, and Living Unlimited, Inc.

Alix’s rotations included Central Services, Registration, and “The Other Shop” in Honesdale while Ryan’s rotations were in the Kitchen, Environmental Services, and as a Painter Apprentice all within Wayne Memorial Hospital.

We are very proud to announce that Alix has accepted a position with Aramark and Ryan will begin employment at ShopRite.

Congratulations to both Alix and Ryan for making us North Pocono Proud!
