On Sunday, Feb. 16, former Scranton Preparatory School standout Matthew Lanzendorfer’s current college team, the Virginia Cavaliers, won 7-0 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Rice Owls.
The game took place at Estadio Francisco Montaner. This was their first matchup against the Owls this season.
The Cavaliers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 21 at 4 p.m. at Dell Diamond against Oregon State Beavers.
