Congressman Rob Bresnahan Jr. recently shared his thoughts on border security, air traffic control staffing, and public service employee appreciation through a series of tweets. His posts reflect his legislative actions and community engagement.
On June 3, 2025, Congressman Bresnahan addressed issues of border security in a tweet. He stated that “The suspect, according to reports, was in the country illegally and came in during the previous administration. It’s another hard reminder that when we don’t take border security seriously, innocent people can pay the price.” He also mentioned his recent vote aimed at strengthening border measures.
Later on the same day, he highlighted challenges faced by air traffic controllers at Wilkes-Barre / Scranton (KAVP) airport. In his tweet, he remarked that “The hardworking team at the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton (KAVP) Air Traffic Controllers serve over 235,000 passengers yearly, but they can’t do it alone.” He pointed out the age restriction for entering their academy and emphasized the need for reinvestment in this sector.
On June 4, 2025, Congressman Bresnahan expressed gratitude towards public service employees. He tweeted about attending a dinner with AFSCME and local public service employees to recognize their dedication: “I had the pleasure of attending a dinner last week with AFSCME and local public service employees to thank them for their hard work and unwavering commitment to our communities.”
