Today, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. announced the start of the Congressional App Challenge for students in Pennsylvania’s Eighth Congressional District. This annual competition allows middle and high school students in Northeastern Pennsylvania to explore STEM, coding, and computer science.
“This challenge encourages creativity, critical thinking, and innovation; skills that are vital to maintaining and preparing our future workforce,” said Rep. Bresnahan. “I am glad to invite students from across our district to take part in the Congressional App Challenge and showcase the incredible talent we have right here in NEPA.”
Students who are currently enrolled in middle or high school and have not yet graduated can participate by submitting an original app coded by October 30, 2025. Participants may work individually or in teams of up to four members to create projects ranging from mobile apps and websites to robotics or AR/VR applications using any programming language.
Submissions must be made through the Congressional App Challenge website by October 30, 2025, at 12 PM. Further details about the challenge are available on Rep. Bresnahan’s website.
