U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. has announced his upcoming telephone town hall scheduled for Tuesday, June 10, at 6:30 PM. This will be his second town hall since taking office, following the first held on March 25, which marked the return of such events to Pennsylvania’s Eighth Congressional District after more than four years.
Rep. Bresnahan emphasized the importance of direct communication with constituents in his statement: “I came to Congress to make a difference and fight for my home, and the best way to effectively do that is by hearing directly from the people I represent.” He expressed anticipation for engaging with residents of Northeastern Pennsylvania, stating it is their support that brought him to Congress.
The previous town hall saw participation from over 9,000 constituents via phone and an estimated additional 1,000 through Facebook. Topics addressed included Medicaid, Tobyhanna Army Depot issues, the Rain Tax, inflation concerns, housing market trends, veterans’ affairs, among others.
This upcoming session will also be accessible via telephone lines across the district and broadcast live on Facebook. Constituents interested in participating can register through a link available on Rep. Bresnahan’s website.
