Today marks six months since U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. began serving Pennsylvania’s Eighth Congressional District. During this period, he has focused on making government services more accessible to the people of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
“What I said on day one only rings truer today: this job is not about me, it is about the constituents of Pennsylvania’s Eighth District,” stated Rep. Bresnahan. “I am proud of the work we’ve accomplished thus far, returning taxpayer dollars to constituents, resolving important paperwork issues for seniors and veterans, and bringing the federal government directly to the people.”
In his tenure so far, Rep. Bresnahan has opened four district offices in Forty Fort, Scranton, Scotrun, and Hazleton to improve access to federal resources. Additionally, he launched a mobile constituent service office called the BresnaVan to ensure community outreach across the district.
Rep. Bresnahan’s team has responded to over 53,000 inquiries from constituents and completed nearly 900 casework requests related to navigating federal agencies. Through these efforts, more than $2 million in taxpayer dollars have been returned to constituents.
The congressman worked with 38 different federal agencies such as the IRS and VA and attended over 112 community events within Northeastern Pennsylvania.
“These first six months mark a strong start, but the work is just beginning,” said Rep. Bresnahan. “I remain focused on advocating for our district, making government more accessible, cutting through federal red tape, and ensuring Northeastern Pennsylvania has a strong advocate in Washington.”
