NPH Student Recognition

Aubrey Glucksnis is the daughter of Kristen and Daniel Glucksnis. Aubrey received high honors throughout her high school career, and by graduation will have taken 10 AP classes. She is currently enrolled in challenging courses such as AP Microeconomics, AP Environmental Science, AP Statistics, AP Literature and Composition, and AP Calculus BC. She has been awarded the National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program and AP Scholar with Honor Award. Aubrey is a member of the National Honors Society and treasurer of the Red Cross Club. She is a member of the Volleyball team, Mini-THON Club, Environmental Club, NP Buddies Club, and Interact Club. Aubrey is an active member in her community. She has volunteered at North Pocono Library and St. Eulalia’s Church. Aubrey is currently employed by Panera Bread and works as a cashier. After graduation, Aubrey will be attending college and plans on majoring in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Environmental Studies or Economics.

Carissa Stefanski is the daughter of Dena Tanfield and Chip DeWolfe, and Ted and Brenda Stefanski. A member of the National Honor Society, Carissa has consistently achieved high honors while carrying a variety of accelerated and AP courses. An accomplished leader, Carissa has served as chairperson of numerous regional, state, and national committees, captain of the North Pocono Girls Tennis Team, a board member for the MiniTHON National Student Leadership Council, Treasurer of the North Pocono Student Council and SADD, and Vice-President of North Pocono MiniTHON. Carissa has most notably served many roles with the Pennsylvania Association of Student Councils (known as PASC), serving on the Region H Board, serving as the Pennsylvania representative to the National Student Council, and ultimately serving as the State President of PASC. Carissa is the first North Pocono student to serve as PASC State President in the 89-year history of PASC. Currently, Carissa is serving as the Historian for the North Pocono Class of 2023, Treasurer of the North Pocono SADD Club, President of the North Pocono MiniTHON, and Executive President of the North Pocono Student Council. She was recently notified that she has been awarded the title of PASC Distinguished Leader. Carissa is active in the community, having volunteered with her church, the Moscow Street Fair, the North Pocono Library, and a variety of youth athletic organizations. She is currently employed by Lake Hideaway. After graduation, Carissa plans to attend college to seek a degree in Elementary Education or a doctorate in Occupational Therapy.

Norah Wolff is the daughter of Michele and Joel Wolff. Norah has received high honors throughout her high school career while taking accelerated courses and will have completed 7 AP courses by the end of the year. Norah has been elected to serve as her Class President each year of high school, and also serves as the Executive Secretary of the miniTHON club. She is an active member of the National Honor Society, Prom Committee, Interact Club, and SADD while also participating in many volunteer opportunities throughout the school year. She is a member and captain of the Varsity Soccer team and is also a part of the Track and Field team. Throughout the past three summers, Norah has worked as a lifeguard at Lake Hideaway in Moscow. After graduation, Norah hopes to attend Bucknell University to study business and management.
